Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of human GHRH(1–44) with a trans-3-hexenoyl group at the N-terminus that resists enzymatic degradation. It stimulates endogenous growth hormone release rather than supplying GH directly, which makes it a useful tool for studying pulsatile secretion.
Lyophilised, sealed under inert gas, and assayed before release.
Studied in the context of the GH/IGF-1 axis, lipolysis in visceral versus subcutaneous depots, and the physiological differences between secretagogue-driven and exogenous GH exposure.
This product is supplied as a lyophilised powder and must be reconstituted before use. Let the vial reach room temperature, wipe both septa with an alcohol pad, then add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner wall of the vial rather than directly onto the cake — peptides are shear sensitive.
Swirl gently until dissolved. Never shake. The solution should be clear and free of particulates.
Store lyophilised at 2–8 °C. Reconstituted: refrigerate, use within 30 days.
