About Semax

Semax is based on the ACTH(4–10) fragment with a Pro-Gly-Pro extension for stability. The fragment retains neuromodulatory properties while lacking the corticotropic activity of the parent hormone — a useful dissociation for neuroscience work.

Research context

Investigated for BDNF and NGF expression, dopaminergic and serotonergic signalling, and neuroprotection in ischemia models.

Reconstitution

This product is supplied as a lyophilised powder and must be reconstituted before use. Let the vial reach room temperature, wipe both septa with an alcohol pad, then add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner wall of the vial rather than directly onto the cake — peptides are shear sensitive.
