KPV is the terminal lysine-proline-valine sequence of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Stripped of the melanocortin-receptor-binding portion of the parent molecule, it retains anti-inflammatory activity without the pigmentation effects — a clean separation that makes it useful experimentally.
Research interest centres on NF-κB pathway inhibition, intestinal epithelial models, and topical inflammatory models.
This product is supplied as a lyophilised powder and must be reconstituted before use. Let the vial reach room temperature, wipe both septa with an alcohol pad, then add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner wall of the vial rather than directly onto the cake — peptides are shear sensitive.
Swirl gently until dissolved. Never shake. The solution should be clear and free of particulates.
Store lyophilised at 2–8 °C. Reconstituted: refrigerate, use within 30 days.
